Background
As a partner at Nathan | Kaufman Accountants & Advisors, Alan Nathan had a creative vision to assemble all the financial business solutions for business clients. The firm offers comprehensive tax, accounting, consulting, bookkeeping and merchant services for small and mid-market clients.
Prior to founding Nathan Accounting Group in 1998, he previously had his public accounting experience, focused on tax and consulting services, with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Bobrow & Company PC. These early roots for Mr. Nathan established his thirst to guide businesses (large and small) to hit their business goals and achieve financial freedom.
Mr. Nathan is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Board of Accounting and has held numerous committee positions. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Previously, Mr. Nathan served in the non-profit sector on the Boards of the Jewish Federation of Hartford and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and is a faithful alumni and Huskies supporter.
During Mr. Nathan’s “down time”, he is a proud supporter of many non-profit causes: Gifts of Love, Susan G. Komen Foundation, American Cancer Society, and The CureChief Foundation, to name a few. He is an avid health enthusiast focused largely on competitive tennis, golf and running.
