As the pioneer of Nathan Accounting Group, Alan J. Nathan had a creative vision to assemble all of the financial business solutions for small business clients. Today, his company offers comprehensive tax, accounting, consulting, bookkeeping, payroll, human resources and merchant services for small and mid-market clients.
Prior to founding Nathan Accounting Group in 1998, he had a 15-year career as a tax professional with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Bobrow & Company PC, where he became a partner in less than three years.
Mr. Nathan is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Board of Accounting and has held numerous committee positions. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Currently Mr. Nathan serves on the Boards of the Jewish Federation of Hartford and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. Most recently, he was proud to be nominated as Simsbury ?s Business Person of the Year.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and is a faithful alumni supporter.
Mr. Nathan is a devoted supporter of cancer causes including, Susan G. Komen Foundation, American Cancer Society and The CureChief Foundation, to name a few. He is a health enthusiast and member of USA Triathlon Association, where he enjoys running, biking and swimming. He makes his home in Simsbury with his wife, Merri and two daughters.
